2023 PRC STEM Competition Open Now!

The Premier’s Reading Challenge and partners are teaming up again to challenge students to read about Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) in the lead up to National Science Week. The reading and design competition started in 2016 and last year 3500 entries were received!

This year we have three additional themes – NATURE IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA, SPACE & GREEN HYDROGEN.

The competition opened on Monday 3 April 2023, and entries close on Friday 23 June 2023.

As in previous years, there are great prizes to be won. To enter you need to read a STEM, nature, space or sustainable energy themed book, preferably from the Premier’s Reading Challenge booklist and then use your imagination for your entry.

Please note: This year, we ask that schools maintain the list of students who enter the competition, in order to present them with their participation certificates.  PRC staff will not record students’ names.

For more information about the competition and what you need to do to participate, download the flyer here.

A list of all the books for each age group in the included categories can be downloaded here. Just click on the tab for each age group to see the included books.
