2024 PRC STEM Competition Open Now!
2 April 2024
2024 STEM Reading and Design Challenge
The Premier’s Reading Challenge and partners are teaming up again to challenge students to read about Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) in the lead up to National Science Week. The reading and design competition started in 2016 and last year 3,300 entries were received!
You can see the fantastic winning entries from 2023 here.
This year we have three additional themes – NATURE IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA, SPACE & GREEN HYDROGEN.
The R-12 competition opened on Tuesday, 2 April 2024, and entries close on Friday, 21 June 2024.
As in previous years, there are great prizes to be won. To enter you need to read a STEM, nature, space or sustainable energy themed book, preferably from the Premier’s Reading Challenge booklist and then use your imagination for your entry.
Please note: This year, we ask that schools maintain the list of students who enter the competition, in order to present them with their participation certificates. PRC staff will not record students’ names.
Green hydrogen has been in the news recently. If you are interested in this category, these additional resources might help:
