A young boy returns to his village as an older man, reflecting on the fifty years since he has been there. The nuclear power station looms over the landscape, squatting on the once lovely marshes. His mother and Mrs Pettigrew who lived in a railway carriage fought hard to stop the station being built, but to no avail, now it is derelict, no longer in use and needs to be covered in concrete to avoid leaks.
