Hudson is good at lots of things but hates school when it is time for spelling. He has a horrible day and says he won't go back. then Mr Shapland comes for a special test and is able to explain why some learning is difficult for Hudson and why he likes creative learning. Hudson has some of his lessons with a teacher who has special understanding of Dyslexia. He starts to improve and learns how school can be fun every day. The illustrations are fun. The page where Mr Shapland explains how his brain works and how Hudson's works is a very clear presentation of the facts. Although the book has a specific purpose to explain Dyslexia, it does it in a way that the good story is foremost. The book is printed in a way suitable for those who have difficulty reading.
