Drama

An excellent book for classroom discussion, as the story tells of the factual event of the shearer’s strike in Queensland, 1891. The story is told through the eyes of teenager, Maggie McAllister, and her diary reflections on a time where political, social and economic values are challenged and debated. A great book for a classroom debate about unions, politics and worker’s rights and wrongs.
