The Wombats Go on Camp
Published: 2013 by Allen & Unwin
Level: Early Years (R-2)
In usual Roland Harvey style this is a rollicking story with attention to detail that will appeal to a range of ages. Many children (and adults) may have experiences of camps or excursions and will relate to the antics of the ‘Wombats’. Written from the perspectives of the characters, the profiles of these characters in the endpapers deserve attention before starting the story. With names such as ‘Naucia Compostine’, ‘Albert Onestein’ and ‘Ima Lemington’ there are lots of laughs for everyone.
