Won’t Di wondering…

The Playford Primary School library is a haven for readers. Last year 469 students completed the PRC, a fantastic achievement. It helps to have a large, beautifully set out library. And of course a teacher librarian who loves reading. In fact, Di Scott set herself a challenge – to read enough books to equal the height of her principal, Jason Sheehy.

Di attributed some of the success of the PRC at her school to the way that she had rearranged the books in the library. Books can now be found under very easy to understand category headings – like Pets, Animals, etc. Plus of course, books have stickers that make it easy for students to pick out the type of text that appeals to them – eg humour, graphic novel.

Good luck to Playford PS again this year in the PRC.
