2023 STEM Competition Launch Event

On Monday 2 April 2023, the PRC STEM Competition was launched by Department for Education Chief Executive, Professor Martin Westwell. DfE partners, who have offered fantastic prizes to students since 2017, were also there in force: Inspiring SA, SmartSAT CRC, Adelaide National Park City, SA Science Teachers Association, Science Alive, and Adelaide Zoo.

The venue was the idyllic Sir Thomas Elder Rotunda in the Adelaide Zoo, which provided the perfect arena for some of the 2022 STEM Competition winners to speak about their experiences with the competition.

Also, launched by Professor Chris Daniels of Green Adelaide, was the book “A Celebration of Science and Nature”, which is a compilation of the winning entries from 2022. You can view a flipbook version of it here:
