Mem Fox delights Stirling North PS with joyful books

Author Mem Fox recently visited Stirling North Primary School, where she delighted students with her animated storytelling and infectious enthusiasm for children’s books. During her visit, Mem read aloud from her popular books like Possum Magic and Where is the Green Sheep? The children were thrilled by her energetic presentation and learned about her creative process, inspiring them to discover the joy of reading and imagination.

“Mem is an amazing author who really uses her imagination brilliantly. When she read her books she used great expression, and it was really fun. Mem spoke about her time growing up in Africa and how she involves so many people in her books. We were so lucky.” – Isla, Year 6

“Mem Fox was really energetic and spoke with lots of expression. She involved students to read with her and it was really enjoyable. She explained that the first and last lines of a story are the most important. The whole school read with her, and it was easy because the words rhymed.” – Callie, Year 6

“I love Possum Magic and Where is the Green Sheep? and she read those books to us. She puts lots of effort into her books and she has great imagination. I loved it” – Sienna, Year 4

Mem Fox’s visit to Stirling North PS was a delightful experience for students and staff alike, leaving everyone with a newfound appreciation for the magic of storytelling.
