Katrina Germein’s storytelling excites at Ocean View College

Local author Katrina Germein made a special visit to Ocean View College to promote the joy of reading amongst some very excited students. Germein, known for her popular children’s book ‘Bev and Kev,’ captivated the students with her engaging and animated reading of the popular story and her ability to bring the characters to life.

The highlight of the visit was the interactive storytelling session of ‘One Little Duck,’ where students were invited to help narrate the story with the use of puppets. Germein encouraged the children to use their imagination when reading and the hands-on activity demonstrated to the students how fun and accessible stories can be.

Some of the feedback from students included:

“I like the story Bev and Kev, I have it at home!” – Isla, Year 6

“I got to see my friends do a puppet show, it was funny!” – Morgan, Year 1
