Ambassador team for Premier’s Reading Challenge and Premier’s be active Challenge

Adelaide Lightning is the most successful women’s sporting team in South Australia. The team has:

competed in the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) since 1993
won 5 Championships
participated in most finals series since the league began.

The team is focused on:

being physically active
having a healthy lifestyle
having a healthy mind
reading as a big part of their lives.

The Premier’s be active Challenge and Premier’s Reading Challenge are proud to have Adelaide Lightning as an ambassador team. The Challenges promote a similar message to the one Lightning already delivers. The team is looking forward to building a successful relationship with schools to promote reading and being active.

Players are available to visit schools to talk at assemblies, in classrooms or to run a short clinic. Preference will be given to schools that are participating in both the Premier’s Reading Challenge and the Premier’s be active Challenge.
