An earlier version of the story about a boy called Kunmanara was first published in 1988. The Pitjantjatjara text has been made easy for everyone to access by scanning the code at the back of the book to hear the reading of the story by Nyunmiti Burton. Kunamurra always gets along with his friends but one day he finds some clippers and cuts his hair. His friends laugh at him and he is ashamed. He covers his head with a blanket and lies under a bush. His family members all try to get him to come out, but it is his grandmother who finds the solution. An English translation is included on the last pages. Also available through the National Library online catalogue.
